The good news is Azazie is actually a website where you can score amazing deals on bridesmaid dresses and wedding dresses if you know what to look for.

Are Azazie Dresses Made to Measure?
The majority of Azazie dresses are made to measure, however they do offer ready to ship dresses as well. These are dresses which may have been previously tried on by bridesmaids or brides from their “Try at Home” sample program. The dresses may have slight imperfections such as a missing button, however they are selling for up to 70% off.
Now, let’s talk about Azazie’s Made to Measure dresses. Azazie uses your measurements to help find your perfect size. To get your measurements, you can go to a professional seamstress or tailor and have them take your measurements of your bust, waist, hips, and hollow to hem (from the center of your collarbone down to where the hem of the dress should hit). You can also have a friend or partner help you at home. You then take your measurements and use Azazie’s size guide to help determine if your a size A0-A30.

Custom Sizing
Another option that Azazie offers is custom sizing, which is free of charge. How is this different than their other sizing options? With Azazie’s regular sizing, your measurements are used to determine whether you’re an A5, A7, etc. With custom sizing, the dress is made according to your measurements and specifications.
This is a great option if you’re in between their standard sizing, or if you’re on the taller size. Keep in mind, however, that with both Azazie sizing options, you might still need to get the dress altered in order to get the perfect fit. That’s because Azazie only uses 5 basic measurements, opposed to a true bespoke dress that could take at least 12 measurements. For instance, Azazie does not take measurements for strap lengths. Because of this they make them on the longer size, which means you may need to get them professionally fixed. Azazie does offer alternation reimbursements from $20-$75 for some dresses, so be sure to check with them before you order.

It’s also important to note that dress styles cannot be changed using Azazie’s custom sizing options. So that means that if you were hoping to make a long dress short, you would have to do that on your own. From our own experience we can tell you that shortening a dress can run you at least $75+, depending on the fabric and number of layers.
Where are Azazie Dresses Made?
While all of their designs come out of their Los Angeles office, the majority of their dresses and accessories are made in China, Cambodia, and Vietnam. While they do not have any fair trade certifications, Azazie says they only choose factories they’ve seen first-hand, to ensure they are up to their own ethical standards as meet all local regulations. Dresses ship to you from California.
How Long Does it Take to Get Your Dress?
Made to Measure and custom sized Azazie dresses can take up to 6 weeks to make. Shipping adds an additional 1-10 business days for orders shipped to the U.S., and up to 17 days for Canada. So for U.S. orders you can expect to receive your dress on your doorstep in 8 weeks or less. Rush orders are available for an additional fee of $39 on select styles. Shipping times will be the same. If you need a dress right away, their Ready to Ship dresses take 4-6 days to process, and 1-7 to ship. So you could have the wedding dress of your dreams in as soon as a week in some cases.
What is the Azazie Return Policy?
Standard size dresses (A0-30) can be returned up to 45 days from delivery as long as they are unworn and in sold condition with the tags still on. (Check with their website for the return timeframe as this may change post COVID). A restocking fee of 10% may apply to larger orders.
Custom size dresses are not available for return, so you’ll need to make your final decision before you buy.
How Can Bridesmaids Make Sure They Find the Perfect Dress?
Try on At Home
Like most online-only wedding dress boutiques, Azazie offers an At-Home Try On Program to help you find you favorite dresses. Here’s how it works:
- Select 1-3 dresses. Bridesmaid and Mother of Bride/Groom dresses are $10/each, and wedding dresses are $15. Shipping and returns are free. The cost to try on the dresses is not refunded, even if you decide to order them.
- Invite friends over and try on dresses from the comfort of your own home. If you like it simply keep it and follow the instructions on your order confirmation to purchase it.
- If you don’t like it, you can mail back the sample dresses using the provided prepaid label within one week.
Create Your Own Fashion Showroom
With Azazie you can also create an online showroom for your bridesmaids and other wedding party members. This is a great way to favorite styles you think your bridesmaids will love, and it allows everyone to leave comments under each. You can also keep track of your bridesmaid dresses by going into the dashboard the showroom dashboard to see what stage of production the dresses are in, and who hasn’t ordered a dress yet.
The showroom is also super important to create if you want your dresses to be the same exact color. Since dresses can come from different dye lots, a pink purchased today may be different than a pink purchases a few weeks from now. To make sure your bridesmaids get matching colors, they have to enter your unique showroom id when they go to check out. Also, they must all order within the same 24-hour period. If you don’t care if the dresses are the same color, then you won’t have to worry about that part. Otherwise, you’ll want to stress to your bridesmaids how important it is to order on the same day. Note that only bridesmaid dresses can come from the same dye lot. Mother of the bride/groom dresses and junior bridesmaid dresses are made in a different location and cannot be matched.
Order Swatches
You can order swatches of Azazie’s 70+ available color choices and fabrics such as shimmer knit, mesh, stretch crepe, and more. That way you can narrow down your favorite dress styles (and see if they fit with your wedding color scheme) before you buy.
WGM Says: Azazie often has deals offering 3 free sample color swatches if you sign up for their newsletter or text notifications, so be sure to see what offers they currently have for free swatches .
Are Azazie Reviews Good?
Overall, yes! Azazie has over 600 reviews on WeddingWire with a 4.5 ranking out of 5. They have over 700 reviews on The Knot with a review of 4.7. Brides and bridesmaids rave about their customer service, quality, and fit. The only cons we’ve read stem from having to order on the same day to make sure you get the same dye lot for the dresses, but other than that their feedback is overwhelmingly positive. It’s also great that you can see reviews from actual bridesmaids/brides on each product page online.
Azazie offers a 10% discount to all students as well as military (excluding shipping fees). You can also find rotating deals on their Sale page as well as during holidays.

Azazie Dresses FAQ
How is Azazie so cheap?
As someone who used to own a bridesmaid dress company, I can tell you that pricing comes down to fabric and manufacturing. Many bridesmaid dresses are made of polyester chiffon which is fairly affordable. On top of that, once a clothing brand has their dress patterns and meets the minimum order amounts with their factory of choice, they are able to reduce their price while still maintaining decent profit margins.
Can you try on Azazie dresses in a store?
Currently Azazie is an online-only retailer, but you can try them on at home with their try-on program. Select from 1-3 bridesmaid dresses for $20 or a bridal gown for $15 and they’ll mail them directly to you. Just return them within 7 days of delivery.
